Hi, I'm Lindsey
Artist, teacher, and firm believer that everyone has a creative spark just waiting to be lit.
My story
I have always had a passion for teaching and working with children. I started out as a Mother's Helper at the age of 10, then went on to babysit for the neighborhood kids. In High School, I volunteered helping young children with disabilities play T-ball and run the bases โ an experience I absolutely loved.
After High School I attended Sonoma State University, where I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies, followed by my general education credential. I taught Kindergarten for a few years before returning to college to earn my Special Education Credentials in both Mild/Moderate and Moderate/Severe, along with an Autism Specialist Certification.
Over the past 18 years I have taught students from Kindergarten through High School, and I am so excited to bring an enriching after-school experience to students who are looking for a creative outlet in a safe and inclusive environment. I created these classes out of love and in memory of my goldendoodle Sadie โ who never did anything wrong (except steal a cheese slice from a little girl on a trail walk โ all parties involved had a good laugh), and rolled in an occasional mud puddle. Cleaning her after wasn't fun. Sadie loved everyone and everything and was always up for an adventure. She adored swimming in the ocean and being close by. She is fondly thought of and missed deeply. I find art to be an outlet where I can express my emotions in a positive way. I have been busy since her passing crafting and creating.

What we believe
Everyone is an artist
Creativity isn't a talent you're born with โ it's a skill you build. We celebrate every stage of the journey.
Joy over perfection
Mistakes are just happy accidents. Our studio is a place to experiment, play, and have fun with the process.
Community matters
Art is better together. We foster a warm, supportive community where students cheer each other on.
Quality instruction
Every class is thoughtfully designed with clear technique, age-appropriate projects, and plenty of individual attention.
Who is Sadie, you may be asking?
Sadie was my best friend and loyal companion for the past 13 years โ a large, beautiful Goldendoodle who never did anything wrong (besides roll in a mud puddle or two, jump in my neighbor's fish pond when she was a puppy, and that one time she grabbed a little girl's cheese slice and gobbled it up while walking on a trail โ thankfully the child laughed and the parents were amused, but oh my!).
She sadly passed away on May 16, 2026, and is very missed.
I created Sadie's Handmade Delights & Creative Art Studio in her honor and memory.
